| EPP sunvisors are
a specialty part requiring a unique machine design for efficient
production. Some of the requirements are ease of loading
insert components. Reproduction of close tolerance parts
with zero flash. Blemish free surfaces without core vent
marks.
The TVP series vertical machines were developed
working with molders to solve the problem encountered in making
this type of part. There are more than 60 units in
production at traditional molding shops and tier one suppliers.

A relatively new
development in sunvisor production is the half visor or
"clam shell" design.
The half visor design takes a full visor and splits it through
the middle lengthwise, allowing the part to be molded without
inserts. The inserts are installed after molding in a
secondary process. The surface quality and tolerances are
similar to the full visor. Teubert developed the TSM
series horizontal machine for this process.
